Around 2,000 buses terminating at important junctions like Secunderabad, Koti and Nampally stations, will stop halting at these places in about a week’s time. The RTC authorities have planned on this to ensure punctuality of buses.
Currently, around 4,000 buses terminate at each of these bus stations every day and cause a lot of delay in services due to the congestion. With the reduction of buses terminating at these major junctions, the travel time is expected to be reduced significantly.
“Next week onwards, various routes and direct connections will be introduced. We are planning to minimise the number of terminating trips at the Secunderabad station,” said A. Koteshwara Rao, the executive director of Greater Hyderabad zone, APSRTC.
