A glamour girl, a celestial beauty and a young innocent beauty with a twinkle of mischief in her eyes - Rambha is a hot favourite of all Telugu cine goers. Her sensational thighs are a great attraction. It is believed that in some star hotels in Chennai, 'Thandoori Chicken' got its name changed to 'Rambha special'. She has created a special status for herself in Tollywood as well as in Bollywood.

What inspired you to enter into this field?

I always had a fancy for acting, even when I was a small girl. Whenever people asked me what I would become in future, I would immediately say 'An actress'. But my parents just brushed it aside as childish talk. Later, when I was imitating the 'dance steps' from films, my parents realised and started encouraging me. That's how my dream comes true.

How do you like your filmy life? Are you happy with your career?

As I always dreamed about this life it is really so thrilling to me, but just as any other field, this also has plus and minus points in it. Here it is very difficult to judge who is a friend and who is not. One should be well balanced and non-committed, to get along with people Rumours and gossips upset me in the beginning but now I got used to them. Coming to my career, I should admit that I have great satisfaction. I acted with all leading heroes of Telugu field and I have proved myself in Bollywood as well. What can I expect more? In fact I am getting many offers from Bollywood, but I am just being choosy about my roles.

It is in the air that you have some serious controversies with 'Simran'. Is it so?

No, it is not, it is only a mist created by the media. As per my knowledge there is nothing like that. The field as such is highly competitive but everybody will have a place here. Selection of actors depends on the story and the characters involved in it. Director decides and selects the suitable actor. Truly speaking we are too tired to think about ourselves, where is time for others.

What important aspect you consider before accepting a film?

My first priority is the banner, next the director, who can change the shape of an ordinary role to an excellent one and the last but not the least is the hero.

Who are your favourite actor and actress?

Chiranjeevi and Sridevi.

What you want most in your husband-to-be? Do you have any experience of love?

My would be husband need not be a great hero, but should be highly estimable and individualistic; he should not be a smoker or a drunker, the two things I hate a lot.

How do you receive your fans?

I feel that this is a good opportunity to say thanks to my fans. I really feel so grateful to them for the love and affection they show, which is so warm and touching. Most of my fans watch all my films and write to me with their praising and suggestions, in which some I looked good and which dress suited me etc., On the other hand I sometimes, get letters from crazy fans saying that they can't live without me or they want to marry me. This really scares me a lot. I sincerely request them not to make me unhappy. I always wish to give replies to all the letters but time is my constraint.

Do the members of your family approve your exposing?

I don't think there is anything wrong in my way of dressing. Now-a-days any ordinary college going girl is wearing shorts and minis. So no wonder if I show ......, moreover it will only enhance my beauty. Till now my people never brought this issue to me so far.

What in your opinion is the most wonderful thing in the world?

'Love!', the colourful spectrum of love is the most wonderful thing in the world. That's why people still remember the stories of Saleem-Anarkali, Romeo-Juliet and Devdas-Parvathi. The wonderful monument 'Tajmahal' is an example of passionate love. I feel that love without understanding is meaningless and it demands courage. Naive and timid should keep off it.

How did you feel when you watched yourself on screen for the first time?

So thrilled! - Not only for the first time, but every time I feel thrilled and excited.

Are you embarrassed while doing romantic scenes?

No, not at all, I feel quite at ease, it's just a part of acting.

Do you long to have privacy?

Of course, sometimes I do, you see, you cannot have the cake and eat it too. I don't mind missing privacy to get fame.

What is your rating in the field?

I am not bothered about my rating as long as I get good films and applause.

Can you tell me something about your shooting experience?

Well, there will be so many experiences. We have to work hard and face so many hurdles. Popularity won't come so easily to us. I'll tell you one of my recent experiences in Switzerland. Soon after we reached there I lost my suitcase in airport. The shooting took place in snowy mountains and I had to act with a chiffon saree. While it was already so cold, snowflakes were showered on me for special effects. Just imagine how difficult it will be! But we soon forget all these cold experiences with the war of affection shown by our fans.

You have been so successful in Tollywood, but your are not as successful in Bollywood, what could be the reason?

So far the films I did in Hindi are not bad. It will only take sometime to become popular. Actually there are many offers but I am turning down them has they are not of my choice.

What kind of roles you prefer?

I prefer offbeat roles, very different from routine ones. People should say, "Rambha alone can play this role".

Which one you like, friendship with girls or boys?

'Boys of course' It will be more thrilling and exciting.

What is friendship according to you?

A friend in need is friend indeed. A true friend halves your grief and doubles your joy.

Your opinion about dating?

Everything will be ok if it is within the limits and not against the tradition. Dating is mainly to bring understanding between two persons.

Do you intend to produce or direct films?

As of now I don't have any plans and I am not sure about future.
